Fans of horse riding are captivated when the world's show jumping elite gathers at the foot of the historic Hardenberg castle ruins to compete for the Count von Hardenberg’s “Golden Whip”. For over 50 years, the high-class equestrian competition has combined sophisticated style with the down-to-earth character so typical of Lower Saxony.
Hardenberg’s historical backdrop is considered one of the most beautiful in Europe. We also offer a varied programme – for the whole family, young and old. A special highlight is provided on Saturday evening with fireworks followed by a party at the castle.
